Jim K. Akin

     Jim has been associated with First American since 1995 and a partner since 1999. He has over 20 years experience in commercial real estate during which time he has completed in excess of 150 transactions involving a wide variety of properties, including retail, office, apartments, light industrial and land of all types.

     In addition to brokerage, Mr. Akin has years of experience in related areas such as financing, leasing, management, development, and taxation of commercial properties. Jim is involved with properties throughout the San Antonio/Bexar County, including Kendall and Medina Counties.

     Jim, a native of San Antonio, received his college education in Business Administration at Southwest Texas State University and has completed numerous continuing education and advanced real estate courses. He has had articles published in state and national real estate publications. Jim is a member of The Real Estate Council of San Antonio.

     Jim has represented numerous financial institutions, pension funds, insurance companies, corporations, and substantial private investors over the past several years with their real estate needs.
