San Antonio Market Information

San Antonio is top academic city	Two San Antonio universities receive high praise in the Kaplan/Newsweek College Catalog 2001. The publication ranks Trinity University as one of the top ten "hidden treasure" schools. St. Mary's University also received recognition as one of the top ten best academic values for the tuition dollar.	The May 29th issue of Forbes Magazine ranks the "200 Best Places to Do Business" and San Antonio finished at number 8, up from number 36 in 1999. Forbes based the rankings on revenue at technology companies and overall job and salary growth between 1993 and 1999. The ranking reflects San Antonio's unprecedented growth over the past several years, especially in key industries such as transportation equipment which experienced a 20.3 percent growth increase from 1997-99, as well as metal fabricating, business services, banking and communication services.
